This site is for bird enthusiasts everywhere.  There is plenty on this site to interest both the backyard birder and the twitchers in the field.

The Bird Pictures link will take you to the largest part of this site...the gallery, where you will find great photos of Vancouver Island birds.  There are over 600 pictures separated into 15 albums and 'thumbnailed'.  Click on the album you want to see, then click on the thumbnail for the full view.  Most of the photos were taken by Ralph Hocken of Nanaimo, BC.  You may find a few repeats of bird pics in the gallery. The reasons for this are that we get a better all around view of the bird, and that some photos are so good that I had to post them.  You can vote on the pictures without registering, but if you want to add a comment you need to register.  If you have any great bird pics you want posted, send them to me and I'll make sure they are added.  Check below for the Bird of the Day.

I will be adding new things to each section so check back often.  If you have tips, tricks, stories or pics, I will be happy to post them here.
